W. Clay Massey, a partner in the firm’s Environmental & Land Use Group, earned the Atlanta Bar Association’s 2012 Distinguished Service Award for his efforts as co-chair of the Bar’s Law Day Committee. Law Day (May 1) serves as a nationwide observation of the importance of law in society, as well as an opportunity to educate and involve students in its processes.
Massey has served as chair of the Atlanta Bar’s Law Day proceedings for the last four years, after previously serving as an active volunteer for the day’s events. This year’s Law Day, which revolved around the theme of “No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom,” featured mock trials at local schools and an essay contest.
