Benjamin L. Snowden

Associate


Benjamin Snowden is an associate in the Atlanta office and is a member of the firm's Environmental and Land Development Group. His practice includes complex federal litigation as well as environmental regulatory matters. He also advises clients on issues arising under developing regulatory schemes for greenhouse gas emissions.

From 2004 to 2006, Ben was a judicial clerk to The Honorable Paul L. Friedman in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. He has been admitted to the State Bars of Virginia and Georgia, and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association.

Ben received his J.D., cum laude, in 2004 from the New York University School of Law, where he was a Robert McKay Scholar and served as developments editor for the NYU Environmental Law Journal. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1997.

Representative Experience

  • Advised manufacturer of innovative emission reduction technologies on availability of greenhouse gas and other emission reduction credits.
  • Counsel to municipal water utility board in interstate water rights litigation.
  • Member of defense team for Fortune 1000 company in a putative class action seeking damages from alleged releases of lead and other pollutants from former foundry operations in Anniston, Alabama.
  • Advise multinational forest products company on compliance with U.S. pesticide regulations and consumer protection laws.
