Britton Richardson is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Global Corporate Strategies Group and is a member of the firm’s Energy Infrastructure Team. Mr. Richardson concentrates his practice on the technology and energy sectors and has significant experience representing and advising clients on complex transactions both in the U.S. and abroad.
Britton has extensive experience structuring and negotiating sophisticated strategic alliances, targeted acquisitions, joint ventures, project finance and infrastructure development transactions with a particular emphasis on the renewable energy sector, including the structuring of complex carbon management transactions under the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism.
Britton received his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, in 2001 from the University of Kentucky College of Law where he was a member of the editorial board of the Kentucky Law Journal, chair of the honor council and a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Richardson received his B.A. degree in 1997 from Brigham Young University. Mr. Richardson is a member of the American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association and the Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
