Britton Richardson is a seasoned deal lawyer whose practice is focused on the development of long term, value added relationships on behalf of his clients. Britton has extensive experience helping clients structure, negotiate and close sophisticated strategic alliances, targeted acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers and sourcing transactions of all types in the United States and abroad. His clients include entities operating in a myriad of industries, including energy, emerging technologies, logistics, telecommunications and travel.

Britton has vast experience in renewable energy, green and clean technology sectors, including providing strategic advice concerning the monetization of energy assets, structuring complex carbon transactions for enhanced oil recovery and negotiating carbon management transactions under the Kyoto Protocol. Britton represents investors and energy companies in the oil, gas, coal, wind, biomass and solar sectors.

  • Represented a leading renewable energy company in its acquisition of biomass assets for $107 million.
  • Represented a leading global travel services company in connection with its technology and distribution arrangements with major U.S. airlines.
  • Represented a leading global travel services company in the outsourcing of its IT infrastructure and call center operations.
  • Represented a project developer of a 225-megawatt hydropower project in South America under the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism.
