Each August, attorneys from Alston & Bird visit more than 40 law schools and job fairs to interview and recruit second-year law students for our annual summer associate program. While each office recruits independently and makes its employment decisions through its own Hiring Committee, we utilize a firm-wide approach to our on-campus interviews. As a result, students who meet with us on-campus are welcome to express an interest and be considered in any Alston & Bird office, regardless of the interviewer’s home base.
In an ideal world, our August on-campus interviews would include all of the law school campuses represented not only by our lawyers, but also by our diverse candidate pool. Instead, we request numerous resume collections each year and interview students from these schools using our state-of-the-art video-conference technology. In the past several years, we have hired a number of summer associates through our resume collections, and are pleased that this method is so effective in giving us broader access to highly talented law students from throughout the country.
In addition to on-campus interviews and resume collections, we welcome applications from law students who contact us directly. You may apply online or submit your cover letter, resume and transcript directly to the recruiting contact in your office of interest.
