In his trademark practice, Mr. Nixon has counseled clients on the selection, availability and use of trademarks, and helped police potentially infringing uses of clients' marks. Mr. Nixon also has experience litigating in rem domain name actions under the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act and conducting trademark opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Coby received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 1998 from Mercer University, where he was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society. In 2003, he earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as a member of the Georgia Law Review. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Nixon was a computer programmer and process analyst with Accenture, where he designed and maintained customer billing systems for several large public utilities.
Mr. Nixon is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
