Cory C. Davis

Senior Associate


Cory Davis is a member of Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property – Electronics & Computer Technology Patent Group. He counsels clients on matters involving procuring and protecting intellectual property rights with an emphasis on patent preparation and prosecution, including matters related to hardware, software and computer networks. Additionally, his practice involves patent infringement, validity and the enforceability of patents. Cory also works on intellectual property transactional matters, including due diligence in intellectual property investigations related to acquisitions of companies and patent portfolios.

Cory is also experienced in prosecuting patent applications in technologies related to telecommunications, cellular telephony, semiconductors, medical devices and electrical appliances.

Cory received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia, where he served as articles editor of the Georgia Journal of Intellectual Property Law. He also received a B.S.E.E., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1998. Before attending law school, Cory worked as an electrical engineer for both The Boeing Company and Motorola, Inc.
