Alston & Bird has one of the most active and sophisticated corporate trust practices in the United States. We regularly represent financial institutions that provide corporate trust services in a wide variety of capital markets transactions. In addition to advising our corporate trust clients in transaction closings, we regularly represent our clients in a variety of post-closing and transaction administration issues.
OUR SERVICES
We have an experienced team of lawyers whose primary focus is the representation of financial institutions that provide corporate trust and agency services in structured finance, corporate debt, public finance and other capital markets transactions. A key advantage we offer clients is our breadth of expertise and experience. Our corporate trust lawyers have assisted clients in the closing of thousands of capital markets transactions. We regularly advise our clients in all aspects of transaction administration including regulatory compliance issues such as those related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Regulation AB and reporting requirements under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. In addition, our attorneys work closely with members of other practice teams at Alston & Bird to provide a wide array of legal services to our corporate trust clients, including litigation, tax and bankruptcy. Represented major financial institutions as trustee in mortgage-backed securitization (MBS), asset-backed securitization (ABS) and collateralized debt obligation (CDO) transactions.

Represented major financial institutions as trustee in corporate debt and municipal bond transactions.

Represented major financial institutions as trustee and collateral agent in the administration and exercise of remedies in defaulted collateralized debt obligation and other secured debt transactions including the liquidation of collateral.

Represented major financial institutions as trustee in various disputes and litigation involving the administration of previously closed securitization transactions.
