Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms. The firm was also ranked fifth with respect to GLBT individuals, and seventh with respect to minorities.

Alston & Bird received a top rating of 100 percent from the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index. This is the fifth year in a row that Alston & Bird has received HRC’s perfect rating. The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgendered persons, with more than 725,000 members and supporters nationwide.

Diversity Partner John Latham was elected to serve as chair of the board of trustees of the American Institute for Managing Diversity. Founded in 1984, AIMD is a nonprofit diversity think tank, providing strategies, educational programs and materials on diversity and diversity management. Alston & Bird played an instrumental role in establishing the organization.
