Alston & Bird Named “Large Firm of the Year” by Atlanta Bar Association

Alston & Bird has been honored by the Atlanta Bar Association with its 2017 “Large Firm of the Year” award. It is the second time in as many years that the firm has been recognized with the award.

The Atlanta Bar Association honors firms for their outstanding commitment and support of the Atlanta Bar’s mission and its philanthropic efforts. Alston & Bird attorneys have a long history of working with the bar to raise funds for legal aid, police, and law enforcement programs and supporting the group’s outreach to both minority communities and children.

Alston & Bird attorneys also dedicate time by volunteering as guest speakers at bar events and writing for the bar’s magazine. In addition, the firm has hosted Atlanta Bar high school interns with interest in the law each summer since inception of the bar’s internship program in 1993.

One hundred percent of Alston & Bird attorneys in Atlanta are members of the Atlanta Bar Association.

Liz Price, the firm’s professional personnel partner, currently serves on the bar’s board of directors and is active in the bar’s public-school internship program. She previously served as the bar’s president. Sage Sigler, partner in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Group, is secretary of the board of the association’s Bankruptcy Section. Chris Lightner, senior associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, currently serves as the board’s member-at-large representative and leads a breakfast series in which featured speakers address issues relevant to young lawyers’ career development.
