Alston & Bird Grant Provides Laptops for Non-Profit
Community Service and Pro Bono
Alston & Bird has a proud history of community service and providing pro bono legal services. The commitment was established by both Mr. Philip Alston and Judge Buster Bird, two of the firm's founders. Alston had immersed himself in professional, political, civic and religious affairs in a way that became the model for lawyers who followed him at the firm. Bird demonstrated to his partners and associates his belief that all of the firm's lawyers drew their livelihood from the community, and it was therefore up to each of them to put something of themselves back into the community.
