Alston & Bird is one of the only law firms in the country with a formally constituted group of intellectual property attorneys, many of whom are registered patent lawyers, who focus on transactional matters. The firm formed its Intellectual Property Transactional Group based on the belief that intellectual property and other technology-related rights would be at the core of many transactions in the 21st century. That belief has turned out to be prophetic, and the result is a group of lawyers with a deep understanding of intellectual property concepts, and the negotiating and drafting skills to bring that experience to bear in complex transactional arrangements.
