Jon Shepherd's practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis in antitrust litigation and counseling. His extensive antitrust experience includes a number of notable civil and criminal matters.

Jon has been a frequent speaker on antitrust topics at CLE seminars. He also has published several articles on antitrust issues and was the editor of the American Bar Association Antitrust Section's Joint Venture handbook, published in 2006. Jon also served as a senior editor for the ABA's Antitrust Law Journal for several years.

In addition to antitrust, Jon has been involved in a wide range of other complex litigation matters and internal investigations. He also has represented companies involved in class actions pending throughout the country, including a managed care company defending claims asserted by hundreds of thousands of physicians, companies, officers, directors; accounting firms facing securities law claims asserted by shareholders; and companies facing claims asserted by classes of consumers.

Defended major U.S. airline against claims that it engaged in predatory pricing and attempted to monopolize certain markets, as well as claims in a separate lawsuit that it conspired to fix the commissions paid to travel agencies.
Defended commercial bakery of allegations that it conspired to fix prices for bread products sold in Texas.
Represented a large chemical company in its challenge of the alleged monopolistic practices of several multinational corporations in the plastics manufacturing industry.
Represented a vitamin manufacturer in its defense of class actions asserting claims of price fixing.
Defended residential apartment community as lead counsel, successfully challenging jurisdiction in lawsuit asserting fraud, negligence, and breach of contract claims.
Served as counsel for defendant, a major newspaper publisher, in securities fraud class action litigation.
Served as co-lead counsel for defendant accounting firm in securities fraud class action litigation.
Served as co-lead counsel representing plaintiff, a U.S. travel technology company, in breach of contract action, successfully obtained settlement publicly reported to be $37 million.
Served as lead counsel for defendant, an online travel booking service, and successfully settled class action lawsuit asserting claims under California unfair competition and consumer protection statutes.
Represented defendant, a health plan organization, in class action involving claims asserted by 650,000 physicians against several large managed care companies.
Represented defendant, a vitamin manufacturer, in class action asserting that vitamin manufacturers engaged in worldwide conspiracy to fix prices.
Served as co-lead counsel and successfully represented defendant, a travel holdings corporation, in action by competitor alleging antitrust violations and asserting other state law claims.
Served as lead trial counsel successfully representing movant, a building and construction manufacturer, in $30 million contract interpretation proceeding.
Served as appellate counsel for defendant, a multi-national technology and services conglomerate; obtained 50% reduction of jury verdict against client.
Served as lead trial counsel representing defendant in $60 million breach of contract adversary proceeding, successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of client
Represented plaintiff, a U.S. travel technology company, in successfully obtaining damages of $3 million for breach of contract.
