Marianne Roach Casserly is a partner in the White Collar and Litigation and Trial Practice Groups. Ms. Casserly concentrates her practice on government investigations, internal investigations, white-collar criminal defense and civil litigation.
Her white collar representations have included investigations into accounting fraud, securities fraud, backdating of stock options, and public corruption. She has represented corporations, Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, Special Litigation Committees, and individuals.
Marianne also maintains an active civil litigation practice and appears regularly in federal and state courts in the District of Columbia and Virginia. She also counsels clients on telecommunications regulatory and policy issues, with a particular focus on the wireless telecommunications industry.
She received her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and her B.A. in English/Communications, summa cum laude, from St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania. During college, Ms. Casserly served as a White House Intern in the Office of First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. She also enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve and spent seven years assisting U.S. Army JAG attorneys in Virginia and Maryland. Her active duty assignments included an assignment in the chambers of Judge Susan J. Crawford of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
