Mr. Elgison has over 25 years of experience in intellectual property and technology matters and is the founder and former chair of Alston & Bird's nationally-ranked intellectual property practice. He has has served successfully as lead counsel in patent, trademark, copyright, trade dress, trade secret and false advertising litigation, as well as disputed matters involving computer software and other technology. He has also assisted clients in negotiating and structuring complex transactions involving technology and intellectual property rights, including information technology agreements, web-based and software agreements, trademark, copyright and rights of publicity license agreements, joint venture and joint development agreements, media broadcast and distribution agreements, sponsorship, marketing and promotional agreements, and publishing transactions.
