Matthew Ennis is a registered patent attorney and associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. Mr. Ennis’ practice focuses on complex patent litigation involving medical devices and the mechanical arts.
Mr. Ennis received a B.S. in engineering with a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in economics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2005. During this time, he served as president of the school’s chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and had sole responsibility for cable routing and retention design as part of an international design team for the medical division of a major manufacturing corporation. Mr. Ennis received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2008, where he received CALI awards in Business Associations II and International Commercial Arbitration. He served as treasurer of the Litigation Club and worked as a member of the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy, a member of The Illinois Business Law Journal, and as a commercialization analyst intern for the Office of Technology Management.
