Michael Johnson, a partner in the Litigation and Trial Practice Group, has represented a variety of business and individual clients in complex commercial disputes. His experience includes multiple trials and arbitrations, as well as state and federal appellate work. Michael serves as co-hiring partner in the New York office.
Michael’s practice has focused on complex business litigation, employment-related disputes (particularly restrictive covenant litigation), securities class actions and international arbitrations. He has appeared in courts and before arbitration tribunals in New York and throughout the United States. He has authored articles on international arbitration and class action practice that have appeared in regional and national publications, including The National Law Journal.
Michael was previously with the New York office of Salans, where he was a partner in the litigation department. Prior to joining Salans’s predecessor firm in 1997, Michael was an associate with Sullivan & Cromwell.
