Lou Karasik, partner in the Intellectual Property Group in the Los Angeles office, was named among the
Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in L.A. Law.”
The publication praised Karasik for his work for more than 25 years in patent, copyright, trade secret and trademark matters, as well as complex/class action litigation. In particular, the publication touted his work as lead counsel for Fox in the high-profile copyright litigation
Watchmen case, which, according to the publication, is considered to be among the most significant legal battles in the industry in decades.
In addition to the
Watchmen case, Karasik's representation of Fox in the important
Alvin and the Chipmunks copyright matter and his representation of DIRECTV in sports antitrust cases involving Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League were also noted by the publication.
