Pref Ramirez is a partner in the Financial Services and Products Group in the New York office. He focuses his practice on international private financing transactions, particularly asset securitizations, structured and commercial finance, financial restructurings, derivatives and related matters. In his practice, he has worked extensively on cross-border matters with European and Latin American clients, including financial institutions, privately-held companies and foreign governments.
Pref is a member of the New York Advisory Board of the Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Empresarial (IBRADEMP) and a member of the Committee on Minorities in the Profession of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York (ABCNY), and he served various terms as a member of the ABCNY Committee on Structured Finance, Judiciary Committee and Committee on Judicial Administration.
Prior to joining Alston & Bird, Mr. Ramirez was a partner at Arnold & Porter. He received his J.D. degree in 1977 from Harvard University and his A.B., cum laude, in 1974 from Harvard College. He is admitted to practice in New York.
