Alison Newman is a partner in the New York office in the firm's Corporate & Finance Group. Ms. Newman practices in the area of general corporate and securities law. She represents a diverse client base comprised of public and private companies, investment banks, venture capital firms and high-net-worth individuals.
Throughout her career, she has represented clients in connection with public offerings and private placement of securities, venture capital investments, private equity investments, and mergers and acquisitions. She has extensive experience representing issuers and underwriters in public offerings for companies engaged in a number of industries, including high technology, life science, digital media, homeland security and the Internet.
Ms. Newman serves on the Board of Overseers of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the NYC Advisory Board of Astia and the Screening Committee for the Life Sciences Angel Network at the New York Academy of Sciences.
