Erin Connolly is a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group. Her litigation experience includes defending discrimination and retaliation claims under both federal and state laws. She also has substantial experience in prosecuting and defending actions involving claims for breach of restrictive covenants, breach of fiduciary duties, tortious interference with business relations, unfair competition and trade secret misappropriation.
Erin's practice includes counseling and advising clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws, as well as the development and implementation of workplace policies. She regularly assists clients in connection with the drafting and negotiation of employment agreements, separation agreements and restrictive covenant agreements.
Erin received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 2001, where she was a member of the editorial board of the Vanderbilt Law Review. She received her A.B. in economics and public policy from Duke University in 1998.
Erin is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the federal district courts for the Northern District of California, Central District of California and Northern District of Georgia, as well as in the state courts of New York, California and Georgia.
- Representing clients in lawsuits seeking to enforce restrictive covenants and to protect trade secrets and confidential information.
- Drafting restrictive covenants on behalf of clients throughout the United States for inclusion in asset and stock purchase agreements, as well as employment and severance agreements.
- Conducting labor and employment due diligence on behalf of clients throughout the United States in connection with various mergers and acquisitions.
- Obtained summary judgment in a Title VII sexual harassment case brought by a former employee against the president of the client corporation.
- Represented an international power company in a breach of contract lawsuit initiated by a former executive who alleged that he was owed millions of dollars and obtained a verdict in favor of the client after a two-day bench trial.
