Josh Becker concentrates his practice on complex litigation, including mass torts and class actions. He represents clients in numerous states, and also counsels clients on risk management and performs litigation-related due diligence. He serves on the editorial boards of Product Liability Law & Strategy and Energy Law360 and has been quoted in publications ranging from Bloomberg News to the Miami Herald.
His litigation experience includes familiarity with automobiles, arsenic, asbestos, chromium, creosote, dioxin, electronics, food/beverage, hydraulic fluid, household appliances, isocyanates, marine products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, silica, and talc. His recent experience also includes consumer fraud class actions and greenwashing/green guide compliance.
Mr. Becker serves as co-leader of the firm’s natural gas extraction/hydraulic fracturing practice.
He provides pro bono representation to various organizations and individuals, including a Nepali citizen in a successful U.S. Immigration Court trial and then defending his client before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Additionally, he has served on various non-profit boards.
Mr. Becker previously served as the deputy press secretary for U.S. Senator Bob Graham. He graduated with his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida College of Law, where he was the executive notes and comments editor of the Florida Law Review.

- Counsel in a large-scale automotive products liability and consumer class action MDL involving over 200 nationwide class actions.
- Counsel to a leading national restaurant chain in several purported class actions involving the sodium content of its meals.
- Counsel in litigation involving the sterilization of surgical instruments used in over 3,800 surgeries.
- Counsel in a mass action brought by over 1,600 coal miners alleging personal injuries from isocyanate exposure in Alabama.
- Counsel to national wood products company against over 1,400 personal injury claims arising from chemical emissions at a wood treatment facility.
- Counsel to an international beverage manufacturer in lawsuits claiming consumer fraud and false advertising.
- Counsel to healthcare professionals in malpractice lawsuits and state board investigations.
