Lance Soderstrom is an associate in the New York office and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group.
Lance received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan in 2006, where he majored in industrial and operations engineering and also received a master of engineering in pharmaceutical engineering in 2012. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2009.
Lance is admitted to practice in New York and is currently a registered agent before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, Lance has been admitted to both the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York.

Robert Hanlon, Thomas Parker, Natalie Clayton, Victoria Spataro and Lance Soderstrom, based in the firm’s New York office, received a favorable opinion on behalf of their client, Merck & Cie—a producer of pharmaceutical and dietary ingredients—in response to their action against Gnosis S.p.A. and Gnosis BioResearch S.A. for false advertising in connection with Gnosis’s manufacture and sale of a folate nutritional ingredient, which competes with Merck’s product, Metafolin®.
