Mark Trainer is a senior associate in the firm’s Securities Litigation Group, where he focuses on business and securities litigation matters. Mr. Trainer has experience in securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative suits and alternative dispute resolution. In addition to securities-related litigation, Mr. Trainer has represented private and public companies in complex commercial and general business litigation, including litigation involving breach of contract, the UCC, receiverships, TROs, restrictive covenants, trade secrets and employment disputes. Mr. Trainer also has experience in Sarbanes-Oxley arbitration, as well as representing companies dealing with administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Mark is active in the community, having assisted low-income individuals through the Legal Aid Society. Mark has also volunteered his time at the Ronald McDonald House and by reading to inner-city elementary school children.
Mark is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis in 2002. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Harding University in 1999.

Counsel for a tier-two automotive supplier in an action brought in federal court, including successfully defending a TRO which preserved the jobs of hundreds of employees, served as leverage for an asset sale of a manufacturing facility and avoided millions of dollars in liquidated damages.

Successfully defended claims for $50 million in damages against the seller of multiple nursing homes for alleged breaches of representation and warranties in a stock purchase agreement and obtained in excess of $1 million on client’s counterclaims.

Obtained a favorable settlement for a medical imaging service provider and majority member in action against minority member and former employees for breaches of fiduciary duty and duty of loyalty.
