Paul previously served as a majority counsel to the Senate Commerce Committee and principal advisor on e-commerce, telecommunications and intellectual property issues to Chairman John McCain (R-AZ). Prior to his Senate service, Paul counseled private and public technology companies on corporate and transactional matters in Silicon Valley during the 1990s. Since joining the firm, Paul has established himself as a leading industry strategist on a range of Internet, telecommunications and technology issues. Paul has appeared on Fox Business News and as a speaker at high-profile industry forums, including those hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, BritishAmerican Business, the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsels, the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the American Bar Association (ABA).
