Richard Robinette is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. Mr. Robinette’s current practice includes patents related to wireless communication systems and computer power management systems.
Richard received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law. While at Northwestern, he was an editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and a member of the Federal Appellate Clinic. Before law school, Richard worked as a circuit designer reconfiguring telecommunication circuits to reduce facility costs.
Prior to joining Alston & Bird, Richard worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable George H. Wu, United States District Court for the Central District of California.
- Argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on behalf of an indigent defendant.
- Represented an inmate appearing before the Illinois Department of Corrections Prisoner Review Board.
