Suzanne Boyd is an associate in the firm's Bankruptcy, Workouts & Reorganization Group. Her practice focuses on the representation of debtors, fiduciaries and other parties in Chapter 11 cases. Ms. Boyd also advises clients regarding claims, out-of-court workouts and bankruptcy litigation matters, including preferences and fraudulent transfers.
Prior to joining Alston & Bird, Ms. Boyd served as law clerk to the Honorable C. Ray Mullins in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Ms. Boyd received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Boyd served as lead articles editor for the board of the Georgia State University Law Review and an Academic Enrichment Program tutor for Civil Procedure; she also received the 2009 Real Property Award from the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Ms. Boyd earned a B.A. in economics and public policy from Duke University in 2005.
