Tim Dewberry is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2010, where he was an articles editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property. Tim also studied abroad in Brussels, Belgium, where he received a certificate in European Union Law Studies from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Tim spent his final year of law school as an intern prosecuting patents at an intellectual property boutique law firm. Tim also completed the University of Georgia School of Law’s Corporate Counsel Externship Program, working as an extern in the legal department of a Fortune 1000 corporation, focusing on intellectual property counseling, risk analysis, strategic planning and litigation management.
Tim received his B.S. in electrical engineering, cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2007, where he was a Florida Academic Scholar and an officer in the electrical engineering honor society Eta Kappa Nu. While at the University of Florida, Tim completed four internships as an engineering technician for the U.S. Navy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, where he designed test procedures for the evaluation of maritime mine countermeasure devices, installed shipboard countermeasures and directed shipboard tests of countermeasures.
