Todd’s practice focuses on technology, IP, outsourcing and data privacy and security. Recent engagements have included various types of outsourcing transactions (e.g., ITO, BPO, HRO, ADM, F&A, etc.), security incidents (management and response), IP licensing and audits, cloud, and providing guidance on global privacy compliance. Todd is also a registered patent attorney and counsels on patent licensing, avoidance and procurement.
Todd is featured in Chambers USA for his outsourcing practice. He is the past chair of the IP Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Todd is a frequent speaker at professional seminars and author of articles on topics such as global data privacy regimes, outsourcing, open source software, smart grid, digital media convergence, cloud computing, data security and IP protection strategies.
Todd received his J.D. in 1998 from Florida State University where he was a member of the Law Review and was the executive editor of the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law. He received a B.S. in mechanical engineering, with high honors, in 1994 from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Prior to law school, Todd worked as an engineer designing automation systems for companies such as Coca-Cola and the Ford Motor Company.
