- What impact will the Dodd-Frank Act have on bank M&A activity?
- Will regulatory burdens on smaller institutions drive market consolidation?
- What do banks that want to expand into new states need to consider?
- The session will also address how regulatory reform may drive bank strategies in the coming year.
On February 1, Chris Frieden presented, "The Shape of Banks Going Forward". This session focused on the changes in the shape of banks going forward, including changes to diversify the loan portfolio and revenue stream, changes in business strategies, changes in the size and number of banks, changes in management team and board composition, the need for greater efficiency, and the departure from the de novo model of the late 1990s.
