Shiraz Tangri was a panelist during this meeting hosted by the Central City Association (CCA) of Los Angeles. The panel discussed how recent court decisions shaped the planning and development of affordable housing in Los Angeles. In June, the Los Angeles Superior Court issued a revised decision in connection to two challenges to the City's local SB 1818 ordinance. The majority of the ordinance was upheld by the Court, but five narrow sections were invalidated. The recent Court of Appeals ruling in the Palmer case also had a significant impact as it called into question the enforceability of all inclusionary housing requirements.
