The national law firm of Alston & Bird LLP announced today that it has been ranked 13th among
FORTUNE’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2011. Alston & Bird is the first and only law firm to make the list 12 consecutive years. The list and related stories will appear in the February issue of
FORTUNE.
“I am extremely proud of the fact that Alston & Bird has once again been named to the
FORTUNE list,” said Richard R. Hays, managing partner of Alston & Bird. “The consistency of our inclusion on the list and, in particular this year’s 13th spot ranking, demonstrates that the workplace culture at Alston & Bird is consistent with some of the most innovative businesses in the U.S. This ranking is a reflection of the continuous, collective effort of everyone within the firm to foster a highly effective and positive work environment that inures to the benefit of our clients.”
“It’s an incredibly rewarding experience,” said Cathy Benton, chief human resource officer and leader of the
FORTUNE submission through the years. “The pressure is on to constantly evolve to ensure our firm differentiates itself from the pack, and it’s gratifying to see how we’ve continued to innovate throughout the years. The childcare facility, which is now replicated by many of our competitors, put us on
FORTUNE’s map in 2000. Today, we’ve expanded our childcare center to accommodate our growing firm family including a fun, creative and enriched environment for our school-age camp program. In addition, our benefit package includes other family-friendly programs such as infertility coverage and adoption support."
