Jack Cummings Quoted in The Charlotte Observer on Wal-Mart Tax Dispute with the State
1 November 2007
The Charlotte Observer quoted Jack Cummings in an article titled “Wal-Mart tax fight raising a paper storm” about Wal-Mart’s dispute with the state of North Carolina over taxes, and Wal-Mart’s request that the presiding judge block public access to documents related to the case. After The Wall Street Journal posted files from the dispute online, Jack, who is representing Wal-Mart, noted that "The posting of such business correspondence on public websites creates unreasonable and undue annoyance and oppression of a party that is attempting to litigate a serious dispute with a public agency."
