John Jordak was quoted in a May 19, 2010, Securities Law 360 article discussing the growing number of securities class actions that have manifested long after the end of their proposed class periods. After focusing on the financial crisis, “I think the plaintiffs are going back to suing pharmaceutical companies, suing retail companies, suing tech companies,” Jordak said.
Jordak pointed out that a long lag time is no guarantee against class actions being filed. “Companies, even though a year or more may have passed since an announcement that caused their stock price to drop, still need to be aware that a class action can be launched against them.”
