Three Alston & Bird partners have received recognition as BTI Client Service All-Stars in 2010: they are Mark Kanaly, partner in the Financial Services & Products Group; Randall Allen, Chair of the firm’s Antitrust Group and Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Silicon Valley office; and Peter Kontio, Co-Chair of the firm’s eight litigation groups comprising over 300 attorneys. Alston & Bird is one of only 37 firms nationwide that have multiple partners on the list.
Out of 164 attorneys named as All-Stars, Kanaly is the only attorney nominated by more than one client, garnering him special recognition on the list. According to BTI, “clients value the combination of his expertise in the financial services and real estate markets, as well as his dedication to clients.”
The BTI Client Service All-Stars list is generated by interviews with corporate counsel based on client focus; an exceptional understanding of clients’ business; delivering efficient, value-added service; outstanding results; and legal skills. No firm can nominate an attorney or submit client names; as described in the list’s executive summary, “the only possible path to The BTI Client Service All-Stars is an unprompted, unequivocal recommendation from corporate counsel.”
