Thomas Davison is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Group. Prior to joining Alston & Bird, Mr. Davison worked as a patent agent specializing in conducting clearance, infringement, patentability and validity prior art searches. His prior art searching practice focused on the business method, electrical, medical, mechanical and telecommunication arts.
Mr. Davison received his J.D., cum laude, in 2008 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Journal of Technology Law & Policy. While in law school, he pursued postgraduate studies in industrial and systems engineering. In 2003, Mr. Davison received his B.S. in systems engineering from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
