Technology Transactions

A core competency of the IP transactional lawyers is representing our clients in transactions concentrating in technology. Our attorneys negotiate sophisticated IT acquisition agreements and agreements to outsource our client's technology needs.  They also have significant experience in establishing technology licensing programs for licensors or sellers of technology. We also work with clients in the integration of their technology or technology-based services into the technology offerings of their partners (or vice versa). Finally, members of the group frequently advise clients and negotiate on their behalf consulting agreements for the development of technology such as online services and customized software.

Members of the IP transactional practice recognized early on the growing impact of open source software on the technology community and it customers.  We advise clients on the risks associated with the internal use of open source software and distribution of open source software incorporated into a client's products.
