Emily Mao served as a moderator of the “Update from the Government Panel” during the Southern Employee Benefits Conference.  The government speakers on her panel were Lou Campagna, Director, Division of Fiduciary Interpretations, Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration; and Michael Julianelle, Director, Employee Plans Examinations, Internal Revenue Service.  The Southern Employee Benefits Conference is a non-profit organization that functions exclusively as an educational organization in the field of employee benefits.  The Conference is organized by and for plan sponsors, their advisors and professionals active in the employee benefits industry.  Each year, the Conference holds a three-day Annual Educational Conference (“AEC”).  The AEC is attended by between 175 and 200 employee benefits professionals and includes numerous general sessions and workshops, including a two-hour session with high-profile government speakers.
