Ashley Gillihan was a featured speaker at this program hosted by the Health Care Administrators Association. Ashley presented "Top 10 Compliance Issues Affecting Health and Welfare Plans" on Wednesday, July 16, 1:15pm - 2:30pm, which addressed legal and practical issues associated with the DOL's conflict of interest disclosure rules, HIPAA privacy issues, claims denial letters and substantiation rules, and COBRA notice procedures. In addition, Ashley presented "Administrative Service Agreements…What Every TPA Needs to Know to Protect Itself" on Thursday, July 17, 1:45pm - 3:15pm, which identified and addressed the practical and legal provisions every third party administrator must have in an agreement (including the new DOL fee disclosure requirements) in order to fully protect itself from liability and to maximize the client relationship.
