Alston & Bird presenters Mary Benton, Mike Petrik and Andy Yates took a deep dive into the cloud. In today’s business environment, technological advances are continually changing. However, state revenue departments are struggling to keep up with these new businesses and technologies, resulting in inconsistent, forced and often curious tax implications. This interactive roundtable explored the current cloud landscape from both sales and income tax perspectives, sharing experiences and offering practical guidance. Attendees were encouraged to share their experiences with issues they have faced doing business in this environment.
Attendees came away from this session with a better understanding of the types of digital and cloud transactions, an increased ability to identify the tax complexities and a framework for successfully navigating and addressing these issues to put their businesses in the best position in negotiations and on audit.
This program was approved for 1.5 hours of CLE credit for Georgia. Additional states are available upon request.
