Nanci was a featured speaker during the following sessions:

The Essentials of Servicing, May 3, 3:30pm-4:45pm. The new CFPB rules and other regulatory initiatives have brought a host of new requirements to servicing. At the same time litigation and enforcement actions have brought even more. The panelists reviewed the legal and compliance challenges in this evolving area.

Servicing Rule Update, May 4, 1:30pm-2:45pm. This session covered all that is new and on the horizon — at the CFPB and at the state level, including developing proposals for more uniform laws nationwide.

Steve was a featured speaker during the session "Other Mortgage Regulatory Initiatives," May 5, 10:45am-12:00pm. During the year there were an array of amendments to the CFPB’s rules and policies including changes to the Ability to Repay rule, the addition of the complaints policy and pending diversity rules under Sec. 342. This panel discussed these subjects and others.    

Colgate was a featured speaker during the following sessions:

The Essentials of QM and LO Comp, May 3, 5:00pm-6:00pm. This session reviewed requirements of the recent Ability to Repay (ATR) / Qualified Mortgage (QM) and Loan Originator Compensation rules issued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The panelists also covered the latest changes and guidance. In this session panelists focused on the wide array of state litigation and enforcement actions including homeowner association litigation, MERs and state UDAAP claims. 

Loan Officer Compensation — Fair Labor Standards and LO Comp Rules Compensation Issues, May 3, 1:30pm-2:45pm.  The new CFPB rules on loan originator compensation still engender numerous questions, and the U.S. Department of Labor is issuing new overtime rules.
