Please join us for the fifth program in our series of educational sessions for our clients and friends on the General Data Protection Regulation. The GDPR Roadmap series is a combination of webinar and in-person events designed to provide you with the critical information you need to assess and address the key issues raised by the passage and implementation of the GDPR. The series is chaired by Peter Swire, senior counsel. Other speakers from the firm and community will join us throughout the series.

The New and Expanded Privacy Rights: How Businesses Are Operationalizing Compliance
The Privacy Shield has been approved and is now in effect, for the time being settling some of the uncertainty surrounding cross-border flows of personal data. This panel will review key issues relating to the Privacy Shield for business. Topics will include the benefits and risks arising from participation, what industries are and are not eligible, practical steps to self-certification, strategic considerations for vendor and customer relationships, and alignment with the other available mechanisms for exporting personal data out of the European Union.
