Duncan Douglass and Amy Mushahwar will serve on panels at this conference hosted by The Clearing House and Bank Policy Institute.

Duncan Douglass will moderate the panel “FinTechs and Banks – How Will This Relationship Change Risk Management Throughout the Payment Systems?” FinTechs are an undeniable part of the payments ecosystem, which brings new risk considerations for banks. This panel will discuss potential challenges and solutions for the risk inherent in the collaboration of bank and FinTech services such as data aggregation, use of cloud services, and the non-uniform legal framework for end-to-end payment flows.

Amy Mushahwar will speak on the panel “Emerging Data Privacy and Security Laws: The Impact on Financial Services & Payments.” This panel will explore the privacy landscape emerging in the U.S., how the financial sector is reacting to the new data protection regimes being established by the states, and the intersection of data privacy and data security. The panel will also consider issues that arise in the financial services industry around data sharing and customer authorizations to third parties to access data.
