Tom Schendt Comments on Consumer-Driven Health Plans in Employee Benefits News Article

Tom Schendt is quoted in the August 1, 2002 Employee Benefits News article, "IRS paves road to consumer-driven health." He commented on the June 26 position issued by the IRS deciding that employer-sponsored health reimbursement arrangements will not be taxed, allowing the rollover of funds from one year to the next , and imposing no limits on the savings an employee can accumulate. Tom said, "this is a first step by the IRS and Treasury in saying they want consumer-driven health care...This is the first of many steps."
