Jon Winer Interviewed on National Public Radio's Talk of the Nation

In a May 6 interview with National Public Radio's Talk of the Nation, Alston & Bird attorney Jonathan Winer drew on his experience as the State Department's former chief international financial regulatory expert to describe the likely scenarios by which Saddam Hussein was able to launder the $1 billion in U.S. currency taken from Iraq's Central Bank, and the steps the United States government would take in efforts to track down and recover the funds. During the live nationally-broadcast interview, Mr. Winer described how adding bar codes or other identifiers to U.S. currency could aid in countering terrorism and protecting the integrity of the global banking system.
