Alston & Bird Named IP Litigation Powerhouse by BTI

Alston & Bird is one of only three national law firms that have been distinguished as an IP Litigation “Powerhouse” in the BTI Litigation Outlook 2013. BTI Consulting, a leading provider of strategic research to law firms and general counsel across the country, surveyed litigation heads and general counsel on which firms are their “first-round picks.”

When asked what separates a powerhouse firm from the rest, BTI President Michael Rynowecer pointed to technological skills and strategic resources. "They will offer multiple strategies and pursue different ways to go about litigating a case," he said. "They put more initiative into defining strategic aspects of litigation."

The BTI report is based on more than 3,400 interviews conducted over 12 years, according to the consulting group. The analysis contained in the 2013 outlook study is based on more than 350 new interviews with top legal counsel at major companies conducted this year.

Law360 published a write-up detailing Alston & Bird’s honor, which can be viewed here.
