On Saturday, August 10, 2013, members of the Alston & Bird family came to the Atlanta office with their children to participate in the firm’s first-ever Junior Volunteer Event. Fifty-eight children joined their parents in making over 300 sandwiches, as well as decorating and stuffing 80 toiletry bags for homeless children and families.
During the event, a representative from Crossroads Community Ministries spoke and the children were treated to a moving story by Steve Arline, a formerly homeless veteran who generously shared his experiences with the audience.
