Alston & Bird was ranked Tier1 for “Construction Law” and “Construction Litigation” nationally, and received special additional Tier 1 recognition for “Construction Litigation” in Atlanta and Los Angeles, by U.S. News - Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” 2014.
These rankings were based on a “rigorous evaluation process” that included client and lawyer evaluations and peer reviews from leading attorneys in each particular field. To be eligible for a ranking, a law firm must have had at least one lawyer who was included in Best Lawyers in America as part of the annual peer review assessment.
Both client and lawyer evaluations included feedback addressing expertise, responsiveness, cost effectiveness, understanding a business and its needs, integrity and civility. Lawyers also voted on whether they would refer a matter to a firm and whether they consider a firm a “worthy competitor.”
The 2014 “Best Law Firms” national rankings covered 74 practice areas, while as many as 120 practice areas are covered on the metropolitan lists.
