Alston & Bird was recognized by the UNC School of Government as one of eight North Carolina companies committed to corporate social responsibility.
The UNC School of Government recognized companies that have a focus on good corporate citizenship and work to improve conditions in local communities. Alston & Bird was honored for its employees’ work in the community. Each year, full-time employees are given 15 hours of paid time off for volunteer work.
The firm was also recognized for its “Dollars for Doers” program, which awards grants to nonprofits on behalf of employees who volunteer their time with those organizations.
Other companies that received the recognition were Lowe’s Home Improvement, Harris Teeter, ettain Group, Transportation Impact, The Fresh Market Inc., SAS and Sealy Corporation.
