Alston & Bird continues to expand its Finance Practice with the addition of Nikki Ott as counsel in Charlotte.
Ott focuses her practice on mortgage- and asset-backed securitization, primarily representing major financial institutions offering corporate trust services in structured finance transactions. She also has experience in civil litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigation and defense matters. She joins from Bryan Cave LLP.
“Nikki will add an important dimension to our corporate trust services,” said Robert Sullivan, Alston & Bird partner and co-leader of the Finance Practice. “The firm’s reputation as a leading advisor to financial institutions on commercial and residential mortgage-backed securitizations makes Nikki a terrific fit for our practice.”
Along with Ott, Alston & Bird has also added Antone Little as senior associate in the Finance Practice. Little, who is also based in Charlotte, focuses on lenders and other financial institutions in secured and unsecured financial transactions. He joins from Vedder Price PC.
Rick Blumen, Alston & Bird partner and Finance Practice co-leader, added: “Nikki’s and Antone’s arrival underscores our commitment to make strategic investments in our practice to help clients navigate the full range of structured finance transactions across a wide variety of asset classes. They are the latest additions to our practice, which has grown by 90 percent since 2010 and includes the arrival of four new partners in Dallas in January.”
